Whitchurch C.E. Junior
School, our main aim is
to provide an excellent education, both academic and social, in a Christian
context, for all our children. Within school we provide a secure and
caring environment in which children can develop the independence and
confidence to face new challenges positively. We have a rich and exciting
curriculum at Whitchurch which meets the needs of all our pupils.
We also have well established links with the local parish church, St. Alkmund's,
and excellent relationships with Whitchurch
and Sir John Talbot's Technology
School is an exciting
school which is constantly looking at ways to improve its curriculum, and learning
and play environments. Our school council is very active and it has a very
important role in deciding on priorities for improvement. We have high
expectations of children both academically and with regard to their behavior,
which is often commented on by visitors as being very good.
The school is proud of its progress over the last few years. It
has been awarded the Basic Skills Award twice, Active Mark and Charter
Standards Sports awards, as well as the Safe School
and Gold Healthy Schools Awards.
